Abstract:

This project aims to drive the broad, interoperable deployment of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) by delivering harmonized technical specifications and fostering collaboration among new and existing ecosystem stakeholders. Through efficient coordination and technical cooperation, the initiative establishes robust standards, exchanges best practices, and solidifies security protocols. These efforts are designed to significantly optimize supply chains, enhance real-time user information, and enable highway operators to proactively manage traffic and defer major infrastructure investments. Key expected outcomes include the publication of next-generation C-ITS release documents—laying the crucial groundwork for future Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM), alongside the development of comprehensive technical content, assessment materials, and the effective transfer of specialized knowledge to national experts.
