The aim of the project is the update of a software library for management of topological system of polygons. The software library is implemented in Java and represents a core of the software solution for application of subsidies in agriculture. Company S&T Slovenija d.d. is developing this software solution for the Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Agricultural Markets and Rural Development (AAMRD).
The project is divided at two parts:
Update of topological system with extended functionalities of computational geometry algorithms (20.11.2006 - 30.03.2007)
The extended library will offer existing functionality of topological operations on polygons, which will be extended and improved. The new library will also offer search for neighbours of small polygons and merge of such polygons with larger polygons, move of an edge, informing user about polygons with many points, and solution of problems when two holes of polygon touch in one point.
Correction and simplification of polygons acquired by GIS measurements (02.04.2007 - 29.06.2007)
The aim is to correct topologicaly wrong polygons. Some polygons can be represented by smaller number of points. Our goal is also to simplify such polygons.
