gLiDAR Info
gLiDAR is one of the algorithms, developed in Laboratory for
Geometric Modeling and Multimedia Algorithms
(GeMMA Lab), for LIDAR data processing. It is an interactive software tool
that allows generation of digital terrain model (DTM) and ground extraction
from data collected with LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) technology.
gLiDAR tries to be as simple as possible using minimal number of input parameters.
Please note that this R&D version of gLiDAR intended only for demonstrational purposes
of our ground extraction algorithm and is not intended for the industrial use.
The graphic used interface is, therefore, limited in its functionalities.
However, you are more than welcome to make any suggestions on how to improve it
and report any unstable performance if it comes to it.
Current version supports LAS file format version 1.0/1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4 and
runs under Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 and LINUX using WINE.
For industrial purposes a more advanced version is available which supports extraction of ground and additionaly allows classification of all LiDAR points into their respective classes with high accuracy. The classes currently identified are Ground, Building, Low Vegetation, Medium Vegetation, High Vegetation points. Powerline point detection is in development.
You are welcome to download
